The Herbert H Warrick Jr. Museum of Communications is housed in a retired telecommunications building in Georgetown. There are a ton of interesting telephones, switchboards, and teletype machines on display. The staff is super dedicated to the museum and they can show you what making a call used to be like in Seattle before cell phones. The museum is pretty packed full of artifacts, so it may not be a great place for the younger (ie..like to grab things off shelves) set. However, if your kid has an interest in tech, this is a great place to show them from where it evolved. There is no charge, but a per person donation is appreciated.
