The Seattle Aquarium is located on the Seattle waterfront just west of the Pike Place Market. The Aquarium is a great place for kids to observe and interact with marine animals. The entrance features a large floor-to-ceiling tank where divers will make fairly frequent appearances throughout the day. Behind that are the interactive 'tide pools' where visitors can gently touch sea anemones, starfish, and little crustaceans. Inside the aquarium are a number of beautiful tropical fish on display along with some really interesting jellyfish exhibits. The outdoors areas feature larger marine animals such as sea lions and otters. The Seattle Aquarium frequently hosts special activities and workshops - so make sure to check out their calendar. The whole place is stroller friendly and you can expect to spend between an hour to 90 minutes here.
