This multi-presentation symposium will feature discussions on the topics of the birth of the airmail industry, the Spoils Conference, and Bill Boeing’s impact and influence on aviation and the Pacific Northwest specifically. Barry Rosenberg and Catherine Macaulay, authors of “Mavericks of the Sky,” will discuss early airmail from 10:30 a.m. until noon, followed by a book signing at 3:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., Boeing Historian Mike Lombardi and Museum Senior Curator Dan Hagedorn will tackle the subject of Boeing’s early years, and their contribution to the airmail industry locally and nationally.
