Almost from the moment of its first appearance, the Chinese bronze industry was distinctive in scale, products, technology, and perhaps social organization as well. Professor Robert Bagley, Princeton University, will discuss Chinese metalwork development from the early second to the late first millennium as well as contributions to the late first millennium iron industry.
