The Cornish College of the Arts celebrates its centennial in 2014. Nellie Cornish founded her school on a philosophy of educating the artist through exposure to all the arts—a progressive idea at the time, and one that continues to be innovative today. Bridget Nowlin, Visual Arts Librarian at Cornish and Mark Bocek, Media Specialist at Cornish will focus on the woman behind this school and her century-long impact on Seattle.
