The third film in our Significant Silents series is THE WIND (1928), an American romantic drama from Swedish director Victor Sjöjström, starring Lillian Gish, Lars Hanson and Montagu Love. Frances Marion adapted the movie from the novel of the same name written by Dorothy Scarborough. Distributed by MGM, THE WIND was the last silent film for Lillian Gish.
