Seattle Camera Club: A Proud Story of Japanese American Issei Photographers[neighborhood events]
Here's what the organizers of the event have published, "Enter the world of the early 1900s and learn of the little-known story of Seattle's Issei (first generation Japanese American) amateur photographers who received national and international acclaim. Their work and lives are celebrated in the book "Shadows of a Fleeting World, Pictorial Photography and The Seattle Camera Club." This program will feature Nicolette Bromberg and David Martin, authors of the book, and guests will be treated to a sampling of the images produced by these prodigious photographers.
After the presentation, there will be ample time for discussion and an engaging question and answer period. Refreshments will be served."
